David Nail Mention-Music Row
DISClaimer by Robert K. Oermann
DISClaimer is on the move. Today is the last Friday edition of the country review column. Beginning next week, new country discs will be touted or torched on Wednesdays. I’ll probably shift bluegrass, Christian, pop/rock, Americana and other genres to Friday columns. We’ll see. As for today, there’s plenty of star power to be had. Lady Antebellum is at the top of its game. David Nail nails the vocal performance of the week. Josh Turner has the energy, and Rascal Flatts has the ballad. But for overall sonic excellence the DISC of the Day belongs to Jack Ingram. Ken Domash, sometimes cited as just “Domash,” is our DISCovery Award winner.

Writer: Scooter Carusoe/Kenny Chesney; Producer: none listed; Publisher: none listed; MCA Nashville
—A warmly nostalgic lyric sung with heaps of soul. Just when you think he couldn’t sound any hotter, he does. I could definitely get used to this.
