The Tennessean: David Nail Album Release
Live energy drives David Nail's new album
November 13, 2011
David Nail admits he was a bit nervous about making his second album, The Sound of a Million Dreams, but says that when he got his first hard copy last week, all he felt was excitement and butterflies.
“I went down to the car and listened to it, and I was very proud of everybody involved,” Nail says. “It’s a humbling experience. I waited so long to have my first record out and I wanted that for so long.”
And while Nail is still proud of his first album, I’m About to Come Alive, the “Red Light” singer says The Sound of a Million Dreams is much different.
“I’ve spent two years on the road,” he says. “You make your first record, and then you form a band and play those songs. I took that energy from the live show and where we wanted to go, and that served as the backbone for the new record. I knew from the word go the songs were going to be great live. I think it adds a whole new dynamic.”
The Sound of a Million Dreams, home to the current No. 11 hit, “Let It Rain,” is due in stores Tuesday.
