David Nail Set For NYC’s Bowery Ballroom Sept. 18

Announcing Shows in Chicago, Boston & Cleveland As Part of Fall Tour

Nashville, TN: David Nail spent the past two years touring with some of music’s biggest names – from Taylor Swift to Lady Antebellum, Billy Currington to Gavin DeGraw – and he loves the thrill of the big stages and bigger crowds. But when it comes to feeding the soul of the Grammy-nominated Country Male Vocalist, he gets the most satisfaction when he’s up close and personal with his fans in the tightest, sweatiest rooms possible.

With a tour that’s on the verge of being announced, the man The Washington Post wrote “may be country’s most limber and soulful tenor this side of Ronnie Dunn” is slated to hit Manhattan’s Bowery Ballroom on Sept. 18^th.

“There’s an energy when you hit New York that’s like nowhere else,” Nail says. “You can feel it in the air – and you can tell it in the fans. They really listen and hone in. This isn’t the simplest kind of country you can find, but it’s pretty real to how life actually is – and they respond to that.”

The tour also sees the man who can lure musicians like Rolling Stones’ musical director Chuck Leavell and Bonnie Raitt/former Bruce Hornsby & The Range guitarist George Marinelli into the studio bringing his soul-steamed country to a boil in various music venues across the nation. Look for the tour to stop at the House of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio on Sept. 8, the Royale in Boston on Sept. 29, and Joe’s Bar in Chicago on October 20^th.

“Maybe it’s that I’ve been on the road so much,” Nail says, “but a lot of these cities are truly starting to feel like home. I’m starting to know the streets, the local bars, the baseball teams, and the way the fans invest in certain songs.

“Every place is unique, of course. But what I can honestly say over the last year is the one thing my fans have in common is their passion for these songs. It’s not just something to pump your fist to… Based on the stories people tell me backstage about different songs, even songs that aren’t singles like ‘Grandpa’s Farm,’ so many of them live lives just like what I’m singing about. They live these songs, and that’s why they’re coming out to see us play them live.”

Music industry trade HITS wrote of his beyond capacity show at Los Angeles’ storied Troubadour,  “Nail is ruggedly handsome, mixing the sophisticated appeal of, say, a Michael Buble with the declamatory style of straight-ahead rock storytellers like Mellencamp, Springsteen and Seger. (He) brings a bit of arena-rock into the tiny, bursting-at-the-seams Troubadour, and if the crowd reaction was any indication, he won’t be playing venues this intimate too much longer in the future,” while Billboard raved, “Nail may actually not be of this world, but at least we get to borrow his talents for a while.” Music Row proclaimed of a Nashville performance, “He blew the roof off the Ryman when he sang.”
